Hello fellow students. I was wondering if a monitor, when wet, would keep itself from showing anything as a safety precaution to keep itself from shorting out. I got up this morning and it my monitor was soaked. Some genius decided it was a good idea to put a air relief valve for the radiated heating system in my building in the first floor apartment. Which just so happened to be directly above my computer. I have a fan blowing into the case now to dry it out and I am using another, much smaller monitor. Which will not display JK:JO or JA. Am I able to revive my baby or am I going to have to sue my IDIOT landlord?  This post was edited by Xipkell on Nov 26 2003 10:47pm. |

I agree, sue your landlord. But before you do that, tell him/her what happened and ask them to replace it 1st. Well I opened it up and to my dismay the main main board is fried, burned straight through. So unless I can get the landlord to pay for a new one I will not be around untill I can aford a new monitor. |

Sue him. He caused damage to your personal property, and he should pay for the replacement.
