I've read all of the expanded universe books (after RotJ) but the junior & young Jedi Knights ones.
I can really recommend the Zahn's Triology and Stackpoles X-Wing saga.
As you get more and more into the expanded universe I'd suggest you start with the New Jedi Order, this was real fun. Prepare for some heavy reading though! :D

my novel experience is patched and irregular. I just borrow whatever books they have at the local rental. I ran out of books five weeks ago. there was six month gap when I stopped reading SW.

up til that pont I knew everything there was to know about the NJO at that time. Now I'm reading again but my knowledge is seriously patchy.

NJO ended with The Unifying Force didn't it? I haven't read it yet but I think it's the last book. or at least the turning point, after which it's just post-ROTJ-style stories with vong instead of imps. is that true?

There's alot of different books. If your interested in Jedi around the Old Republic days(Ep. 1-2), a good place to start would be Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest series. Also the Phantom Menace and A.O.T.C. books. If u want the New Repulic and the Trilogy stuff then start with the Trilogy books and New Jedi Order series. If u want bounty hunters try Boba Fett. To look behind the movies read the Star Wars journals. For Clone Wars try Shatterpoint and also Boba Fett. If u need anything else drop it by my profile.

So I am finishing up Destiny's Way in the NJO series, man I really enjoy these books. Everybodys right though zahn and thrawn were outstanding. However after just finishing Traitor i am quite pumped on it and the whole Jeedai Giant Ganner, awesome. Getting ready to start buying my own now :)

You want to read Zahn's books.

Not only have I read and am the proud owner of all the Heir to the Empire triology plus the fourth set 10 years later and the Rogue Squadron series but have yet to get into the NJO books. Where to start... which is the first in the entire series?

Hail Zahn.

I've read just about all the after-ROTJ books as well. In the NJO series, I'm on Destiny's Way. These are definately a lot of fun to read through.

Zahn was the best. I've read all of his Star Wars works. The Hand of Thrawn Duology starts off slow, but it gets good. The second book is really good.

I've read almost all of the Expanded Universe Post ROTJ books. Several of them more than once. I love Timothy Zahn Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston. Love the NJO novels too.
