Y'know I've just seen Seventh Heaven, a series about an american family... It was a new episode, made to remember and honour all the people that were killed during the war against terrorism so far... True. Something needed to be done about Sadam. But Bush didn't really try anything else. Yeah, he had the UN ppl in there looking for WMD. but he didn't even give them that much time before he went charging in. If he wants Sadam dead so bad, just send in assassins. Then let the country sort itself out. I don't know why we (USA) have to play police to the $hithole ends of the earth. I can see helping them with food or wut not, but let them deal with their own problems. Like these mid-eastern countries always fighting with one another. They have been at war with each other for centuries, killing each other back and forth. You'd think one of them would actually realize "hey, all this bloodshed isn't getting us anywhere. Maybe we should talk it out." But no, some Idiot screams "Alah" and a dozen ppl strap a bomb to their chest and get on a bus. BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 16 ppl dead.*cycle starts all ovewr again* Just let em fight, one day their contries will be silent, silent because noone is left to throw the bombs, or blow up busses or market places, no more innocent ppl to murder. I don'tsee how they can say Islam(spelling?)is such a peacful religion when they can't even stop fighting with one another. It's very sad to watch and know that they could have peace if they really wanted it. I think it makes some sense. We are not privy to every piece of information out there in the world. We went into afghanistan and tried to get Bin Laden. We didn't get him but I'm sure we did a lot of damage to Al Quaeda and removed that country as a safe place for him. I find the logic on attacking Iraq to be there. Whether Saddam had WMD now isn't the reason. The fact is that he DID have them and if was left in power would probably one day have them again. And he used them in the past too. And if he had them again, who's to say how he would use them? So why go after him? Well are there any other leaders of an Islamic government, screaming for death to the infidels with chemical weapons that they've used before? Show me one and I'll say that we should have attacked them first. By the way, is it actually a bad thing that Bush would want to finish his father's job as you put it Exar? Its not exactly as if Hussein has changed much in the past decade. He's not skipping around and having chirping birds landing on his fingers you know. I don't want to see anyone die, civilian or soldier. But soldiers know the risks. I don't know actual numbers for this and if someone knows of a statistical generation of this. How many more Iraqi's would be dead today than there are now if Saddam Hussein was still in power? Methinks there was a similar thread somewhere, but tis good to start a newone. Quite frankly, I think the war was stupid. They havn't found Bin'Ladin, or those weapons of mass destruction. Hood, TX Died: In Tikrit, Iraq summer of 2003 Jessie manned the 50.cal on top of his HUM-V in a fire fight for 15min before he was badly wounded from an RPG. He later died of his wounds.
