greetings everyone  I've been doing a lot of research on SWG for about a month to answer the all-important question, is it worth buying? but I still have some minor questions that only an owner of the game can answer :/ so here is goes: 1. do you look around with the mouse? like JK2/3 2. can you bind any action (kneel, prone, sit, and weapons for example) to any key? 3. how bad is the lag if there is any? I ask the first 2 questions because I am inflicted with a physical disability so I MUST know this kind of information when I consider buying a game so if anyone owns or has played SWG I would very much appreciate it if you answered my questions  (please forgive me if I put this in the wrong topic )Regards -eS)-SilverStar _______________ You never know what you have until you no longer have it. YAAAAAAY just what I needed to know thanks lots guys I really appreciate it now I'll get it the day I can get the funds to pay that blasted fee (I'm only 16 with no job and or credit card  )say Plo what server do you "live" on, what's your SWG name (I know its not Plo Koon because they won't accept SW character names), and is the server close to Louisiana?  I'd love to hear your progress as well (like what profession, species, planet you're frequently on ect) me? I'll start off as a scout/marksman and maybe some artisain, live on Naboo or Tatooine and explore the galaxy (with a friend if I can make one) THX AGAIN HappySilver _______________ You never know what you have until you no longer have it. |

well there is thing in game where you *MAP* keys so yeah i believe you can map letters to movements. also to clear some other things up... fighting,you can double click on something to fight or click-hold then select attack on the radial menu that comes up.NOW it attacks for you but depending on your class you can do attack sequences within reguler attacking like (one handed lunge*brawlers*) overcharge,health shot,headshot,leg shot(marksman each of those attacks has to be earned) so there ya go EDIT: oh another thing another way to run is hold down right click and move your mouse while running  _______________ Free Tibet! Now, I could very well be wrong, BUT. I am almost sure that you can do that. I can tell you 100% in a few hours, but as of right now, it's an educated guess. Is it worth buying? Yeah, in my opinion. Speeder bikes are supposed to come out this month I'll be back in a bit, possibly just edit this post if no one else says anything, but anyhoo... thx plo very informative but when I asked if you could "bind any key to any action", I meant something like "h-run forward, n-backpedal, b-strafe left, m-strafe right, turn with mouse, rotate camera left and right with ; and :, i-take out and put away item or weapon, g-kneel, space bar-stand, h-prone" is that possible? because my disability limits my mobility so I can't reach the arrow keys, number pad (not the numbers above the letters, I can reach those just fine ), and only F11 and F12 (I use a special keyboard )that would be the keymap of my dreams, so is it possible plo? thx again Silver _______________ You never know what you have until you no longer have it. |

ask me about everything,ive been playing SWG since the second day it came out... 1.there are different styles you can choose from,swg style,first person shooter style,or everquest style keyboards,the mouse however when you move it it moves the camera or when you press the delete button its chase camera,means it moves your character. i generally like swg style where you run with the arrow keys so i can rotate the camera around myself hwhile fighting-looks neat 2. the game already comes with a hotkey section at the top of the screen,you can press f1-f8 and if you need to need more you can have drag it down to make 16,or rotate through 6 hotkey sections. oh and to answer question on prone ect ect,it already comes up there .... f1 (stand) f2 (kneel) f3 (sit) f4 (prone) but you can click and drag them around anywhere its so versital! ... and there is a burst run you can click if you ever need to run as fast as you can away from danger ect ect ect... 3. well id say the lag might be bad if you had a crappy internet connection,sometimes i feel sorry for those who have 56k and all that kind so it depends on your internet connection speed and all that stuff,i personally have highspeed cable and its working great. i hope i answered your questions and feel free to ask me anything man my profile is a click away -Plo _______________ Free Tibet!
