kendo--ways of sword~~this is the closest thing i found in real life that is similar to JK2/JK3  even my school's kendo club wants to use Darth Vader (with a bamboo sword in his hand) as an attraction for our club~~ anyone does it here? (you know,in the earlier esp of Star War movies,they fight just like the way in kendo~~) _______________ There is No Peace, There is your Pieces... |

well in Belgium we do have a Samurai Temple were they still teach 'the old ways' But it's on the other side of my country so my training won't begin any time soon  _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website! LOL Bail. I want to, though you can't do it in Northern Ireland, I think. I do Archery tho It pwns j00 The thing with Archery is, though, that ppl have an annoying generalization/stereotype of Archers ie. Robin Hood, or ppl with a stick of bent wood who draw the string all the way back to way behind their shoulder In fact, archery nowadays is a very refined technique. Every part of your body must be in the perfect position to achieve the perfect shot. Shooting a bow can be difficult at times Bows are so advanced now, that the arrows are an Aluminium and Carbon Composite, and some bows have wheels ("Cams" at either end, and 3 strings it acts like a pulley Of course, I have chosen to choose the way of the Traditional Archer, and I shoot a Bent Stick, with arrows made of wood, which I put together myself (I bought the actual shaft of the arrow, im not THAT good a carpenter )Anyways, I'm drifting from the point now. My point i guess is, Archery is much different than you expect Unless you do it already, of course......And I am annoyed that I cannot do Kendo over here  _______________ JK2 pwnz0rs JK3. |

Humm, got into kendo for a bit, but never got to interested. I do weapons training with my dad, but it is more general. I concentrate more on hand to whatever else, ie, using my own body. Yeah, I do kendo. I do iaido too. Iaido is a bit better, in my opinion, but Star Wars is based mostly on Kendo.
