My personal favorite:
"It's strange... the poorer the area, the longer the queue at the cashpoint."

This is true is America too, and kind of sad: The poorest neighborhoods are guaranteed to have a check-cashing/payroll-advance place. And nearby there is always a chiropractor. People gullible enough to use such services are essentially doomed to lives of poverty unless they manage to become sports heroes or entertainment celebrities, so of course those businesses migrate to the poor neighborhoods.
