I personally am open to all religions. I do believe there is something like a god, and though of course good things are said in the Bible and the Koran I'm not sure they can be used directly as a lawbook since they're so old. I think almost all religions have something in common. If there is a god, he manifests himself in all good on the world. Therefore in my opinion every religion that believes in a benevolent God that loves the world believes basically in the same entity. _______________ Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam |

Well, it all depends on ones view of what a Christian is. I believe that those who are called by God to be His children and to follow His laws and statutes and do it happily are true Christians. Me? I'm a poor despirate soul reaching out for God's wonderful mercy spending time in His Word the Bible. I believe that one can't truely be a Christian unless they live their lives for Christ and follow His commandments. That's what the Bible teaches and the Bible can be shown to be closely related to God if not be God. I trust God far more then myself or what others have to say. If only God would bless me too with His Spirit, then I could also follow His commandments and live my life for Him. The last thing I want to do is turn this into another Christian thread so I will end with this. If any or all Christians are at all interested in my views of the Bible and it's teachings, it can be found along with alot of scriptures taken right from the Bible in the Jesus Christ forum which is also in General Discussion. I would suggest reading it from the beginning for it is a very insightful forum with many different views but I would warn that a true christian should want only God's view and that we can all happily receive from His Word the Bible. _______________ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. if by a grand design or if your life is made and created by yourself. you still have a choice to do what you want. if it's good or bad it's totally up to you. yeah, I'm Christian as well. but I think I got a more open look on life than much before when I was younger. I don't shun other religions cause they dont' conform, and in my opinion everyone deserves an extra chance. no matter who you are. most pain is caused by people who don't think. but how can we help that if that's who we are. You own life is shaped on how you grow up. each and everyday counts to what your becomming and who you shall eventually be. Even then when your old and tired. you are still learning. Humans are fickle creatures. just look at other mammals. how balanced a life they control and live compared to the mixed up cocktail of a word that we have changed,damaged,killed and created for ourselves and all those who exist upon the Earth. I know for a fact. as I have met many different types of people just here. so I will expect opinions from anyone who posts here. some may or maynot agree with me. but that is my opinion.. and Everyone is entitled to an opinion. it's how they use it that's their choice... _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. My outlook on life is probably a whole lot different from most trying to see things in a spiritual view when I'm spiritually blind as far as I know. I tend to think of it like this. Your a potter and you make a bunch of pots and a bunch of plates. The pots you adore and love because you can fill them and make great use of them through your will. The plates you created to be destroyed only to let the pots know that it is only by your will that they are spared from destruction. Then with the works of your own hands, the plates suddenly decide that they don't like being plates and would much rather be pots or cups or bowls. Now these are things that you created and have absolute power over telling you that you messed up because they aren't what they would like to be. How would you take to that? Personally, if I make something to satisfy whatever purpose I made it for, I wouldn't want for it to argue with me over it's purpose or to tell me how it could be used. It is kinda the same with God. He created all of us. The good and the bad and he created us that way. Now we are all from one lump of bad clay and all should be destroyed because we just aren't doing what we were made to do. Now by His great mercy, He takes all the ones that He wants to keep and knew which ones before He ever made them and remakes them so that they do what they should be doing. We were all made to Honor and Obey His Laws giving Him thanksgiving and praise, but as we all can probably see we really don't do that. How do I feel about this knowing that I'm not saved as of yet and am staring straight into eternal damnation for my unbelief and sins? It sucks, don't get me wrong but I understand my purpose and I can't complain with my maker. If He made me to be destroyed to glorify His wonderful name, I can live with that and fully except my punishment for each and every thing that I have done to go against His will. I pray often hoping that one day in His great multitude of mercies that I could be one of those that were created by Him to be reworked into a meaningful work were I can truely love Him because He loved me first. It's just as with our system of law. You do something wrong you have to pay the price and just about everyone can live with that. I don't see our government being overthrown by the masses of people because law is stupid. I makes complete sense to have a system of law and order and most are okay with the punishment they face when they break the law. So too should it infinately more be with all when it comes to God's Word. Let it be done that all things are to His wonderful Glory. Well, I think that life indeed does suck: 1) I knew this guy 12-13 years old who died from leuchaimy (omg I dunno how to spell that; how is it spelled?). 2) I knew another guy who had just gratuated and died from some other disease (I think it was AIDS) 3) Now Vlad is killed by a drunk b*st?rd!!!
