I'm making a dedicated server out of an old computer. I think it would be best to run linux on it. What version should I get and where should I get it? Also, is there a dedicated server program for Jk:ja 1.01 ?

I must not fear . Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear . I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

it doesnt really matter if its any BSD, or Unix.
but a real slim solution should be some knoppix or mandrakemove, which are live-OSes, meaning u can boot them directly from the CD. Installation of these is easy as well and doesnt take up much space.

If ya wanna use that old rig for anything else, you should install a real distro. mandrake, suse and redhat are pretty easy to install & maintain.
