Yeah thats right a 56k modem, I have one, and I know 2 or 3 other players who have them too. This is someting that scares alot of players away, they join up with a 56k modem and it is just un plesent, so here I go, what I have learned. Nothing is official or proven, and may have no good excuse, but seems to work, so bear with me and my horrible spelling. 1. FPS ( to display this enter the comand /cg_fps ! in console) is BAD for us 56k players, so the lower it is the better we are doing. FPS is how many frames are being displayed every second, so they must be refreshed every second. Now which do you think is easier on your 56k, 25 fps or 90 fps, pyst, its not 90. More later, thats tip one, later Ill tell ya how to lower it and maybe even tip 2, if anyone else knows some tricks feel free to add on. _______________ Using no way as way. I used to play with my pWn4g3 56K till 1-2 weeks ago Tip: hit when and where you know your opponent will be in 0.5 (?) seconds. Also try to get away from powerful hits like 1 second quicker than you would do. Tip for guns: No tip, just luck with 56K :/ Only good weap with 56K is heavy repeater alt. attack  Tip to push rockets away: do it ASAP or you're hit  Can't think of more right now _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |
