Everyone was a newbie here once. No-one (except doobie, dj and js999) were here since the creation. You MUST have found out somewhere about the JA? So? Where did you find out about this community? Personally I was surfing at www.jediknightii.net (or something) and went to links and there it is. The Jedi Academy  I applied ASAP and here I was  What is your history? _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

It was just before dawn, they came out of nowehere.... NOte: always been a huge Star Wars Fan Actually it was about 6 months ago. I was V new to internet gaming only playing MOHAA with my Cousins and on Pub servers, but got bored very quickly (Spawn-snipped-spawn etc). I saw JK2 JO for £7 second hand and thought why not. Played SP 1st few stages (pre sabre) seemed poor, compared to MOHAA SP. Then u get the sabre and force powers and it's like WOW. Finished the game and playing a bit on Pubs, not much though. I was getting patches etc and came across the Jedi Academy during a google search. Bingo my life was destroyed. I was feeling really bad that I sucked at JK2, so i went looking for help. I think I saw the link on jediknight.net. The first thing I did was get on mIRC to see if the peeps here were going to practice what they said on the web page. First person I chatted with was DJ Sith, an old JK1 player like me and he let me know the skinny about the Academy. I found a lot of nice people to teach me my first combo moves. Everyone was so willing to help me learn how to play! I played for a month on public servers when I first played JK2, getting my arse handed to me continuously. That doesn't happen anymore _______________ Gone but hopefully not forgotten... |

So, I decided to come back, but didn't really play that much because there was NO ONE on ther servers lol. I actually found out about the JA from C1 Me and him were MSN buddy's I had an account before this, between 2200 and 2500 but I forgot the password and left it I remembered about the JA again and signed up _______________ You are not your f***ing system specs. Well, I at first found out about it by myself, when searching some strategies to help my jk2 gaming. But back thenm I hardly knew how to speak English, I had very little time to play, and I was also _very_ shy, so I just left it there. 2 years later (and 2 weeks befor this post), my clanmate Scooper came to the server for a duel. i find this site....actually not this but the old one....long long time ago in www.google.com ....like October 2002 and i just join the server and played for like 4 months. After that i feel bored in the jk2 and i just stop playing. ANd the jk3 was out and i am here again! Man, so long ago.... I saw it on www.jediknightii.net, back when we were jediacademy.jediknightii.net Man, their servers were crazy, so we'd be down a lot because of them. Or the site would be down. But this new site rocks in so many ways. I shoulda printed a copy of the really old site so I could look back and laugh. And then there was the site way before that. That's another story, and was scary in its own way. Man. Profile ID 1004. I'm starting to feel old. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. Hooray for Google!!! I actually WAS looking for some sort of way to improve my lack of skills. I used to just put on blue stance (in JK2) and randomly hit the attack button, but I'd still get my butt kicked by the bots set to Padawan difficulty. In my 1st 2 weeks here, I improved A LOT!!! My classmates (Ulic, Freedon and Exar) were big StarWars & StarTrek fans and somehow found out about this Jedi Academy and told me. We all signed up around the same time, around September/October 2002. |

I actually took notice of the Academy back when it was on the JediKnightII.net server... That was because I was searching for some other info on that site, and the link stood out. Unfortunately, it would be quite some time before I surfed the web with anything more than an old 56K modem, so I didn't sign up. I definitely liked the idea though... back in 2002 I registered, but my modem crashed only a month later. The old account is still here somewhere, though now inactive. The moment I received a faster connection, I immediately bought the game and signed up here. And it's everything I wanted it to be. ~Ken |
