I found this out the other day, and i was surprised it actually had a meaning.

Apparently it stands for "We own the other team!"

w00t came from the old days, when a hacker got administrator rights on a machine (got root), he/she would exclaim "woot!"

then, it was adopted by 1337 gamers and transformed into w00t and simply meant "woohoo". hackers never used it since.

as for "all your base are belong to us": yes it came from an old japanese video game. zero wing. here, this flash video shows ya how it went:

"All Your Base Are Belong to Us"
is the most famous Engrish[sic] phrase right about now. Engrish is the variant of English used by Japanese naval commanders in poorly translated movies and games. Any help? :)

Yeah I remember that it was first in some legendary Japanese computer game, that was filled with similar linguistic mistakes. I can't remember surely though.

I thought 'all your bases are belong to us' was just something that non-english game makers made up :P

That's really cool. I always thought it was just a cheer or something.

Here's some trivia for you: The "peace sign" (like you see hippies wearing) represents a guy making the semaphore signals for the letters "N.D.," for nuclear disarmament.

Anybody know where "All your bases are belong to us!" originally came from?
