anyway... there was no reason for saying what you did before.... Only thing you did was to make me mad because i felt you was talking down to me. but for now... leads just forget it... he have figurede it out so leads just end this discussing now.

I guess not... there are no list in SP.... so i dont see any other way to load it then thru the console, but im not sure.

Do you need an .arena file if it's SP?
And is there anyway to have SP levels loaded other than through the console?

Well i think he better understand if you tell it like this

{
map "<NameOfBSPFile>"
longname "<NameInRoster>"
type "ffa"
}
and name file <NameOfBSPFile>.arena

without <>
with " and {, }

you DO need an arena file ;) here's an example (for jk2 anyway, should be same with jka):

{
map "sr_map_v1"
longname "Sith Revenge Map v1"
fraglimit 10
type "ffa"
}

(the brackets included)

Put that .arena file in a "scripts" folder.

i read a tutorial ( i dont understand) and in that tutorial stands i need a .arena file or something.

bung the compiled file into a zip file. Then rename the .zip to .pk3 and away j00 go :D

well the best thing to do is open another map's pk3 and look how it's done there.

cuz I don't really remember atm :/

Well to make that quicker, make your brushes Detail Brushes (except the ones that touch the void)

Small maps take a few minutes to compile, and big ones can take almost literally days to compile. Start it going (if its a big map) and go get a life, by the time you return - only 50% will be done :D

ok, so you made a map with GtkRadiant?

Well, if you have it,
and want to test it (I'm assuming you're using the latest version) then go to the menu BSP and select (test) <and everything behind it>

It'll take a while
and when it's ready
you can start up your game and type:
devmap <mapname> where <mapname> is the name under which you saved your map.
it should load up without any problems;)
and
when you're completely done with the map, select (Final) <and everything behind it>
