Hey ppl  Ok as some of you may know, Deus Ex 2: Invisible War was released today in the UK. My mum is a hardcore gameplayer (sounds crazy doesnt it) and she has been looking forward to this game for ages. In my opinion Deus Ex is the best game ever made, it had a great story line, graphics and everything was interactive. Heres the problem. We ordered it off Amazon which give a brief Specification list. As usual our computer being super dooper fast  we ordered it. We checked the specs and it was fine. The thing is the spec list didnt include video card compatibility on it. It arrive early this morning and i installed it. I started it up and it just came up with a black screen. I was wondering wtf was wrong so i checked the specs on the box. Everything was fine so i reinstalled it and tried again. Again it didnt work so i lookad at the specs again and noticed in the tiniest of writing it said Quote: No MX graphics cards supported. Graphics cards must support pixel shading I did some research and ive found out that MX cards are the most common graphics cards out there. How could they make a game and then cut off half of their market by making it incompatible. So I looked for a patch which i found but when i tried to install that it couldnt find the right file even though it is there. I duno wtf is going on here. Edios also had this problem with tomb raider 6 and they havent learnt from their mistake! I hope they fix the game or some modder out there makes a mod that allows MX cards. Im not going to go out there and pay £200 for a card which mine is better than but is incompatible. Any ideas people? |

Right heres what im hopefully doing. im getting a Gefore FX 5600 256mb card of ebay for £79 which is very cheap  hopefully i can get it working by sunday |

I played the demo. and it was pretty good.. yet you do need a really good computer for it to run. compared to the first one.. you need about a 3 or 4 times better computer for it to run.. well this pc were using isnt even ours so we cant open up the back yet  Were paying lease on it so we dont have to pay VAT also it doesnt work on my other 3 pc's |

MX series are the cheapest and certainly not the best version of GFX cards. No wonder lots of games don't support MX |
