Quote: P.S. no one can be the most powerful....just use your brain here, dont wanna explain much Theoretically no-one can be the most powerful. Practically, there HAS to be a most powerful guy. And it's not someone who has only skills. It's the one who uses his brain while playing... For the OP: Don't make posts like this... It's not always good to show off; actually I can't think of a time when it's _good_ to show off. - cmad _______________ Your friends of today, are your enemies of tomorrow. |

Or, it may have been "Wha?! This ain't a clan? Later! Man alive..." But, if he is indeed still here to train with us, power to him. _______________ Captain Barkeep. |

He/she may be the 1337-est person in JA, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee his/her possibility of getting selected for trials. Unless things have changed, I understand that JAK's need more than just skill...part of being a JAK is kinda subscribing to a code of responsibility and action. That kind of post does not push him/her in that positive direction. I think that's the side of the thing we're focusing on. -rh _______________ Back from the dead... |

Sorry Exar Edited my comment |

just curious. this dude/dudette started the post (in the wrong forum) proclaiming his/her greatness to everyone, but has anyone actually seen him/her play? |

Oh, 'on that bike'- ©LordExarKun2004. Maybe there should be a little line added to the signup form (above and below the fields), saying explicitly that the Jedi Academy is not a clan. This comment was edited by Halendor on Mar 14 2004 10:25pm. |

but only when you have already signed up will you see the email... _______________ -Retired april the 19th 2004 |

Yeah well, people are still signing up, so it's never too late |
Lord Exar Kun - Student |
Halendor it does state that its a school actually. At least, I think it does. We're currently in the process of reviewing that mail, at least, fizz and HW are with JAK+ input. I'll suggest to add something that can clarify what the JA really is. Though its kinda too late then isnt it. If the guy already signed up... _______________ -Retired april the 19th 2004 |

Holy crap. This is beginning to get serious. I think we may have a problem here. How well are people informed who see the front page, and then click 'Sign up!' in the menu? Does the welcome email mention anything about the goals of this academy? I'm starting to think people should get official warnings if they request themselves or other people to be promoted, outside the Student Recommendation Program, or something. In any case it seems to me (with the recent discussion about "Being and becoming a JAK" in the Academy forum, new students should be better informed about our clan policy, promotion procedures, etc. |

Quote: HOly crap this is a clan not an learning place...Dude i am in the best jedi academy clan there is i am like the captain i thought this would like ummm do something Uhm actually, I'd check the site a little better man . We're actually a real academy, at least, an internet academy. We teach JKJA and JK2. So basically, we're a learning place rather than a clan. In fact, we dont want to have anything to do with clans . Have a nice day.. _______________ -Retired april the 19th 2004 |

And above all that, you can't become a Jedi. It is fiction, a story, not-real. Playing Jedi Knight on your computer is about as good as it gets. Oh and I would like to add: Get A Life |

Firstly, you're posting in the wrong forum, bub. Secondly, with an attitude like that, you won't even be *recommended* for any trials. Even if you ARE 1337. Becoming a JAK in the JA requires more than skill... Suggestion: look around a little bit and make sure that this is the right place for you. Friendships are pretty important around the JA, and I'm afraid you may be starting out on the wrong foot. If you're joking about all this, then my advance apologies for acting a little gruff. However, you should pay a little closer attention to what you say around here. -rh _______________ Back from the dead... This comment was edited by Ruuk Haviser on Mar 12 2004 03:39am. |
