I'm just curious if anyone has sold anything on e-bay. I have a few things I'm looking to get rid of and was wondering if there's anything I should look out for or just any helpful hints. I already took their little tutorial, but I'm still a little confused and wanted to hear some things from anyone who's had some experience with it.

Thanx!!!

Awesome! Thanx!

I have a few Star Trek collectors plates that I got from my Ex's mother, and a few other little things.

Thanx again!!

I've sold a handful of things on ebay. Everythign went right as rain except my cell phone. The guy I sold it to was CONVINCED that I stole it. *shrug*

Do put pictures up. Ebay tries to sell extra bits that you really don't need in your auction. If you need web space to host your pictures let me know.

Im not sure what your wanting to sell, but I just bought a new cell phone ( from ebay ) and plan on selling my current cell phone on ebay.

1.) It is impossilbe to show to many pictures of the product you are selling, showing to little makes people think you are hiding somethig.

2.) For your 1st few expect to have to put them up for auction multiple times. Ebay user get rated by other users. People feel more comfortable buying from people who have gotten alot of good feedback, from thier previous transactions.

3.) Make sure you understand the concept of setting a reserve, this is the minimum you are willing to sell the item for, buyers can not see that price they will just see wether or not it has been met. Also I like to do this. Decide, what price I want it to sell for, set the reserve at that price, and also Set the "BuyItNot" price to that. Ebay is an auction so, your item will be on sale for X amount of time, the BuyItNow allow someone to secure the purchase, and not have to worry about people bidding more than them.

4.) As a buyer remember Ebay is Fun! Seriously The phone I bought I wanted to see how low of price I could get it for, so I would watch auctions that werent getting alot of activity and try to get a low bid in at the last second. When you do this you gotta realize that about 8 other people will be doing the samething, so its almost liking racing and gambling at the same time. This can get addictive.
