After seeing all this talk about how IE6 and Outlook Express sucks, I have joined the ranks of Mozilla users! I'm still getting used to it, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. The one bummer is that I can't seem to block out ads that use Flash.  I used AdShield with IE6 and I was able to block them along with all the other banner ads. Yeah i love firefox!!!...two questions though, DJ i think can answer best. I use MSN, and have a hotmail account. I have Firefox set as my default broswer, but whenever i open e-mail in MSN, it opens with IE. Its really annoying, and i'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. I use Firefox now, and I *love* it. I can actually select text from the JA site! Plus this tabbed browsing really comes in handy if you want to add a comment, but at the same time keep the topic open to see if you didn't forget anything  |

I have used Netscape 7.1, and am currently running Mozilla FireFox, the only pop up I have EVER gotten while using FireFox is that one at the cartoon network, but I put it in my allow list, so I expect to get it. Koyi - GET OPERA Nice email client thing built in, tabbing, pop-up thingamawotsit and whatnot Free (unless you wanna remove the ads, but they don't get in the way anyway and they're content related to the site your browsing - so unless you're browsing bad stuff, the adverts would be OK ) _______________ Website |

Is this some type of web browser/e-mail tool for the pc? Is it something I should look into getting? Does it cost any money to get it? Is it worth it? Actually, I'm a little disappointed with the pop-up and ad blocking with Mozilla. When I was using IE, I used it with AdShield which blocks pop-ups, banner ads and Flash ads. Mozilla blocks the pop-ups and most regular banner ads, but not the Flash ads. Plus, I'm not crazy about the way it blocks the banner ads. IE breaks the internet. It's not coded with w3c web standards in mind, hence it will much up a correctly written page (like this one). It lacks proper PNG support. It fiddles with color palettes. It's got hit and miss CSS support. Mozilla has a built in popup blocker. It has tabbed browsing. It's standards compliant. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

If you have an NVIDIA card, there's a built in popup blocker in the latest drivers. Not sure if it works with Mozilla though. By the way, what is wrong with the normal Explorer? Or is that a real stupid question? |
