| Comp-Freezing in JK2! A solution? | |

Hi guys,
I know there are several guys (like me) that have a problem with their computer freezing randomly while playing JK2. I haven't found a solution... but something usefull though. For me (and Aeth S'kray) the comp only freezes when someone uses FORCE THROW! I know it sounds weird, but it IS like that. All guys with this problem should try out if they look at somebody else while throwing if they freeze. If this should really be the reason for freezing... we have a small problem. You can't fix it with patches, reinstallation or anything else (afaik I know). So here comes my question: Could all people reduce the use of force throw to a minimum? I KNOW it's impossible to forbid it, I KNOW it just sounds silly to you, but I fear it IS like that So please, PLEASE think twice before you use throw. Thank you |

I had the same problem. I think it was my update. I use EAX sound fine though.
We should inform LucasArts about this. The techsupport guys weren't much help to me, although they sure did try and were polite doing it. Could everyone who has had these problems give me any important info about it so I can forward it all to LucasArts.. When it started, how you fixed it, your computer specs, etc. _______________ Jedi Academy Holocron http://jaholocron.ryanmh.com/ Why should our government send our soldiers to foreign soil to protect freedom of speech, when our freedom of speech is being taking away everyday by the same government. |

alright, here's the final solution:
EAX-sound is the reason for the comp-freezing! disable it and you will be able to play smooth and without any problems (well for me it worked) thanks to the guy who told me (i forgot who!! _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |
