I totally dont believe in Evolution. But ive been religious my whole life. Even though I dont actively seek god, I do believe that he is the creator of all. _______________ RIP MOM 06/29/58-07/31/08 Married to Koyi Donita 4/30/11 |

Oh man, I must be blind. Where did this thread come from?!? Anyhow, I'm going to start from the beginning and work my way back up to the top with any possible comments. See you all soon. _______________ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Point of order... evolution does NOT state that we evolved from apes. Evolutionary theory states that both humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor. There is a big difference... Also, evolution is not linear. Humans are not the end result or culmination of evolution. All animals are not trying to evolved into apes or humans. I don't know of anyone who would seriously state that, although I have seen a couple posts alluding to that as the perception of evolutionary theory. _______________ Part-Time Player (Weekend Warrior). Quote: But if you believe God created this word, then how did God get here in the first place? As Kenyon says, if you go way back, it's all a matter of belief. And the proper definition of God? "an eternal being" That would explain how he was there in the first place I believe that is a tautology. You're essentially stating that God is defined as eternal because he is eternal and that he is eternal because His definition is that he is eternal. You could say the same thing about the ocean and sky. (fictional example) Why is the sky blue? Because it is a reflection of the ocean. Why is the ocean blue? Because it is a reflection of the sky. Your answer relies on circular reasoning and doesn't address the crux of the question. Whether we are talking about matter or God, we run into the same problem. As Kenyon stated, "if you go way back, it's all a matter of belief." _______________ Part-Time Player (Weekend Warrior). Have more faith in the Jedi Academy community The maturity level of discussions like this is in general very high. Look at the Same Sex Marriage, Guns and Bush-Kerry topic. People who don't find it interesting, just keep out of them |

Then maybe that came out wrong, I'm only 16 as well and I also hate it when people discredit what you have to say because of your age. The reason I said 'different ages and maturity levels' is because the maturity level has a lot to do with it. I could have just said different maturity levels. You can have a 20 year old who whines more than a 10 year old. Quote: I go w/evolution for the obvious reasons.. ok ppl look at the fossil record. If youve ever taken a bio class its pretty easy to understand. Why couldent we have evolved from apes? We look the same minus the hair and over millions of years is it really that suprising weve changed from the way we are? Im trying to be passive bcause many of you have deep rooted belifs on this subject. I just encourage you to look from a different perspective for a moment, not change ur belifs. So if we evolved from apes then how come apes have not evolved already? And if we have evolved from apes why haven't we evolved into something else already? Why haven't bluejays evolved into eagles? Why haven't ants evolved into beetles? Hey they look generally the same, that must mean they evolved. /sarcasm Simple fact is that apes and humans are two different species. I don't believe in the garden of eden or all the bible mumbo jumbo. It was written by man. But you don't need a book to tell you what to believe in, the answer looks at you everyday when you walk outside. Trees, birds, life itself is the very image of our creator. All this didn't come from a couple things of matter making a boom. How can a thing like matter create a human mind? How does matter make us think? Quote: And if we have evolved from apes why haven't we evolved into something else already? Evolution goes very, very, very slowly. Our 'little-toe' (the pinky of your feet ) is not as big as it used to be. People are getting taller as well. I personally find it too hard to believe that evolution made this whole, complicated world possible though, but then again evolution had the advantage of time. As I said before, it goes very slowly, and because of regional differences, species develop in different ways. Oh and Gradius, that's not tension. That's a joke I dislike it when people hastly throw everyone below their own age on the pile of 'immature', so I tried to point that out through in a nice way. |

Well I think human beings basicly don't know anything about themselves. everybody knows we're build from molecules, what are they made off? I think we can't understand how we came on this planet nor we'll ever really know what we really are. Let's just say we are here and be happy for it edit:: I see everyone things there always is something everything 'begins' with, a beginning and an end, done. I think it's very well possible there is no beginning and there is no end. space spreads millions of kilometers a day, so something has to move for it, what? to understand this we should let go of all our principals I think _______________ -Nero Quote: Curious, Smartass, what else? ShadowStar about us evolving from apes and such.
