I'm 100% with Aron on this.. no one is forcing you to look at the comics, and the stuff said is not even close to being called a violation. As I said in my last post, directed at Bail, it's not what is said.... it's where. |

I don't see ANY violations of the rules in the text in those comics. It is text, placed in a DIFFERENT context. "/me hugs Aratan" - Offensive? No. Violation? No. "/me hugs Aratan (while sitting on a teddy bear) - Offensive? Not to me. If I were 10 years old and was looking at that, my parent would laugh themselfs to death if they saw it. They still would. I don't see what is so "bad" about this. I know already there's a 90% chance that I will probably have to remove it from the channel; I'll move it to my own channel then. But I really can't show ANY respect to someone who bashes this without giving me some good arguements, or at least replying to my questions. If you feel this is below your standards; just ignore it, and say so. Excuse me if I might sound harsh..... i have been in a #$)(&$ bad mood for the past few weeks, and have had my share of RL crap. Aron, I'd like to apologize if I have offended you in any way I just like to point out that, there are quite some sexual references (or things that could be taken sexually) in there, and no, it won't have an effect on kids, there are far worse things here, but if those are being said in the IRC channel, aren't those then a violation of the rules? -- Bail -- _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website! Question: Does a cartoon with those 2 bears leave any scars on a kid's mind? No offense, but EVERY SINGLE person in this academy has seen far worse things on the internet. It is unavoidable. It is all in good fun. Seeing this won't turn little kids into rapists, nor would it make them "bad people". If you don't like; find it distastefull, because you feel it is to "low" for you, I honestly don't care. Just don't look at it then. I'll hapilly remove it, but at this moment, I am REALLY not convinced that this is a bad thing. As I said, it is all in good fun. If they were posted on the main page: Yeah, I can understand you can get fed up with it. Same goes for profile pictures. But truth is, the ONLY way you will see this is by clicking on this incidental thread on the forums, or a link on IRC. The choice is entirely up to you. I agree with Halendor, I don't find this appropriate. Only a few days ago our great dictator clearly stated what behaviour is not appreciated in the academy. No inappropriate language, no sexual jokes OR HARASSMENT, no cruelly disrespecting someone (even Aratan), nothing that you wouldn't want your kids exposed to if you were a parent. The same rules apply for the servers and the forums. If you have any doubts about whether it's appropriate, either ask a ranked member or just keep it to yourself. That is all  |
