I was just curious if anyone was interested in having a JA T-shirt or sweatshirt or something like that. If this sounds like a cool idea, give me some ideas on what you would like. I was thinking of maybe making this a way for the JA to raise a little cash and we could all have a some cool JA stuff! Of course, this would all have to be approved by the Council. Actually, my band is on cafe press, not very quality stuff. 2 people ordered a T-shirt, and it looks like they burned the Iron-on logo  (aka CRAP), if you want a JA t-shirt, I think DJ can put up an Image, you can print it out onto iron-on paper (avalable at any fabric store), and iron it to a T-shirt  _______________ Brady Brothers: Orion-Greg, Furi0us-Peter, Me-Bobby. that's correct Billy. you just come up with a cool image or logo and they will put it on ANY product they carry. which is a whole heck of a lot of stuff! anyway, i propose that we start a new logo thread and let the competition begin. and Billy please feel free to share your ideas as they might inspire someone! oh and on a legal note, it's probably best to NOT use anything actually from the game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, because Raven then could shut down our fun. "The Jedi Academy" i doubt is trademarked by anyone and the domain name www.TheJediAcademy.net would be very free for us to use unless Doobie or DJ (i'm not sure who actually owns the domain name) want to sue us  _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |

I took a quick look at the Cafe Press site. Is it possible that you just give them a logo and they put it on anything they sell? That's kinda the impression I get, which would be ideal! This way, evryone can get whatever they wanted to. Either way, if you want to design a logo for the contest, feel free to get started! I have an idea for one, but I'm not a good artist so I'd definitely wouldn't win. Mouse Mats and matching coasters etc etc I've seen some gret artwork from members of the academy so a competition would be great. 3th post has a good site attached. I believe the main reason for the delay the last time this idea was cast into our community was the time it took Nightcrawler to design the logo. I think he finished it, because I can recall having it seen on the upperleft corner of the old site, but apparently the shopidea was forgotten by then. My original idea was to see how many people would be interested in T-shirts or something else (like coffee mugs ) and if there were enough people interested, I'd go to some local place by me to have them printed up, maybe even with their JA nicks on the back or somthing and ship 'em out. But, if we get the store going that'd be awesome! I understand the Council has a lot on their plates and it might not be a top priority. I guess in the mean time, if you want to design a logo for a contest, get crackin'! We'll hammer out the details of what exactly we're gonna do. Would be cool idea, but why would the Council have to approve? An outsider could design some t-shirt with the imprint of the Academy URL and sell them to anyone who wants to buy them. So, technically, the Council wouldn't have to approve Of course I understand that out of mere decency and respect we ask the founders if we can use their name on a t-shirt. |
