... no no no, not that kind of help :P

I had to post this here, as I feared in the JK2 section no-one would notice it :P

A week or so ago, I upgraded from WinMe (*shudders*) to WinXP (could finally afford it :P) and JK2 has stopped working :( SP is fine, but in MP, it freezes about 30 seconds into the gameplay, every time, no matter what settings I run.

PLEEEEASE, I need a solution!!!!

Something REALLY weird happened today:

1) I ran the game in Safe Mode (the game's safe mode) and it worked seamlessly.
2) I ran it in normal mode and it froze again.
3) I reinstalled (third time now).
4) Ran the game, and it froze.
5) Set the settings to default again.
6) Ran the game - worked.
7) Changed the settings in stages (i.e. a few at a time) back to where they were when it crashed.
8) Game worked.

Now am I the only one confused?

But Yaaaaaay :D

Ive sen this problem this is what you do in 10 easy steps...

1) get a didgital camera
2) take a photo of a mates PC
3) buy a PC case that looks like mate (cheaper the better)
4) get a car with large boot, or a van
5) sell your PC
6) put hammer, skelleton key/pick locks, burgular alarm deactivator , PC case in the back of the van
7) bribe 3 mates
8) drive to mates house, co-ordinate efforts to nick their PC
9) reinstall all files and check JK works fine
10) Pertend to be all excited the next day about you "new" PC
