hi all! i dont know if somthing like this already exists, but it just popped in my mind. so read below, maybe we will have some fun together!  Becouse im a small, private philosopher, it would be great to discuss with you about somthing we just think that could be intresting. Religion is opium to the people  I think it's a great phenomenon as a binding force between people, a never exhausted source of hope, and most religious organisations do charity and other good things for the world. However, religion is very dangerous, and has always been. Because people can totally rely on their belief, people will always take advantage of that. The European people has lived more or less under oppression of the Church untill the 2nd half of the 20th century. Religion seems to be a perfect reason to fight about, as we even see today. The danger concerning religion is that it can soon lead to prejudices, a small unobjective view on the world and fanatism. _______________ Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam |

Any religious people please dont take any offence in any thing that is written in this thread. Everyone has a right on an opinion. In my opinion, a religion is something people believe in to draw their hope from when needed. Something that comforts them in a way that only the people themselves can explain. |
