He was a genius. It would be great to think he pulled of the greatest prank of all time. Unfortunatley he has not. True, he's very well known for this type of thing. Good hoax, though, because it really was the kind of thing Kaufman would have done. He loved to be controversial and would deliberately provoke his audience. One time during a stand-up act, an audience member ran up on stage and attacked him. When it became apparent that the whole thing was choreographed and part of the show, the audience didn't take it very well. I'm skeptical. It could be real. I loved the comment on his blog about how the LAPD wanted to talk to him about his disappearance 20 years ago, and he pointed out that the statute on limitations on faking one's own death is seven years. Funny blog, but I'm still skeptical. Its appearance in a Reuters news reports does not impress me; those guys print nonsense all the time. _______________ My signature is only one line.
