There's no tactful way to say this, but... If you're bored, you're boring. Sorry. Getting a job and asking a girl out are two fabulous ideas. So is learning GtkRadiant (I can't get it to run on Linux  ).Fly kites! Better yet, make your own kites and fly them. Read some books: Makers and Takers by Edmund Kontoski. Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlett (sp?) Free to Choose by Milton Friedman Anything at all by Thomas Sowell Or check out the web sites for one of those places that sell you the hundred greatest books of English literature. You don't have to buy the books--just print the list and hit the library. See how many of them you can read in one summer. Learn a foreign language. Learn to ride a unicycle. Learn a musical instrument. Already know one? Learn to play it better. A book just came out about the hundred best poems to memorize. Great stuff. Play frisbee. Learn to juggle. Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. If you live with your parents, find extra chores you can do and do them religiously. I'm not being sarcastic either. If there's an elderly person in your neighborhood, help him or her out with yard work or running errands. Write a novel. Troll the 'Net for weird news stories to post on this forum. No wait, I got that one covered. If you're a U.S. citizen, memorize all the Presidents, the years they were in office and what party they were from. Learn how to cast things in plastic and make your own action figures. You could make the first official Jedi Academy action figures. Start investing in the stock market, if you haven't already. You can start by reading Peter Lynch's One Up on Wall Street. Study martial arts. Get the idea? _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |
