OK so someone wrote:

"Do you expect a cinematic masterpeice everytime you go see a movie"

No I don't but with the cost of a movie being almost $10 a person having a girlfriend who seems to get mad when I ask he to wait in the car while I see the movie ( pfft, women ) and me being a broke ass college student. I expect something that is worthly of being equal to my normal entire weekly spendings.

Atleast in stupid movie that a "supposed" to be just dumb and entertaining, enter American Pie Series. I know what I am getting into. People are trying to act like this movie IS worth anything.

Now if they rename the title:

"Let see how many uninformed morons we can make panic, and beleive stuff, that even we know is mostly made up. Oh, and lets throw some nonsensical subplots in there, for shits and giggles."

I will totally take back everything I have said, and permitting a doctors ok, I will print out and eat the entire screen play to this movie, on tape for all to see.

Yeah im real worried about having to go through with that.

P.S. - The title doesnt have to be exact, just as long as the point gets across.

a good movie to watch but story plot isnt just what i expected its just way too stupid (sorry the term) the dialogues are not very well made and there are many thinks that could be and should have been more studied but at least it is a warning to what may come if we dont care about our little planet:)

For those of you who consider yourselves true advocates of global warming, stop getting your 'facts' from hollywood. The scientific community strongly rejects many of the concerns voiced by liberals about global warming.

Read some stuff from guys with pH.D's rather than Academy Awards: www.globalwarming.org

I had to see the movie a second time. I was out with some friends and they all wanted to see it. I had already seen it but it was me versus 5 others. Heh.

Second time around I noticed the crappy acting more. But still, it was fun to watch.

Oh and movie critics suck.

I still think its impossible for a movie critic to give 5/5 stars or A+ or whatever, they're all a bunch of fatasses who couldnt get a real job so they ended up reviewing movies. If you want real reviews, read them from several people and not movie critics.

As for the movie, I havent seen it yet but it looks pretty cool.

I liked The Day After Tomorrow a lot :D Although it DID have some weird unusual out of no where, impossible parts *cough* the wolf part *cough* :P

The movie was extremely entertaining and the cg stuff was fantastic, especially the many tornadoes in LA. sure, the movie's facts on political or enviromental points aren't exactly correct, but are the things in independence day (same director) gonna happen? maybe, maybe not :) :P

The Day after Tomorrow is definitely entertaining and very fun, it's worth your money .

EDIT: yeah, that part was great tido haha, also, when the reporter was still talking when everything was flying around from the winds, he just kinda stood there and kept talking :P

I tried to watch the movie but about mid-way I had to leave. I was just sitting there when all of the sudden it was like I couldn't breathe. There was so much political bs being shoved down my throat that I couldn't get a single breath of clarity! Thank god I made it out of there with some sanity. :P

One part of the movie was absolutely hilarious though: When the multible tornadoes were ripping apart LA all less than a mile from eachother, the newsreporter staring down from his helicopter flying in the middle of the chaos cried out with disbelief: "OMG THEY ARE TAKING PICTURES OF IT DOWN THERE!" It wasn't suspose to be a joke, but I about fell out of my chair, lol.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but suprisingly Maxim magazine has decent movie reviews.

I have a feeling they pegged this movie right on:

** ( our of 5 *'s)

Quote:

The term "natural disaster" can encompass a great many things: tornado, hurricane, failed summer blockbuster. The Day After Tomorrow borrows from all three as it lays waste to every single disaster movie cliché in its path. At the center of the storm is climatologist Jack Hall (Dennis Quaid), who opens our adventure in India, warning anyone with a bendable ear about the threat of impending doom posed by global warming. Once he's roundly ignored, we have a movie, and a violent storm that tears through landmarks in L.A., New York, and several less important foreign locales. Softball-size hail, dueling twisters, and massive flooding through the streets of the Big Apple all build momentum for a special effects destructathon. But when Jack's son, Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal), enters the equation, providing the impetus for his father’s impossible trek from blanketed DC to buried NYC, the floodgates open wide for needless subplots and impassable plot holes. Children with cancer headline the heartstring-pullers, while a remarkably left-wing political undercurrent highlights the rest of the movie’s divergent tangents, combining to wreck far more havoc than any computer-generated cold snap ever could.

This kinda reminds me of the movie "The Core" Not so much in the plot, acting, or well most anything. Just that they probably both break new grounds in the relm of "suck"

Yeah I saw it too. Had to keep saying to myself "impossible" every 10 minutes. Its an ok movie. Very textbook in filmmaking. You can call what will happen next as the movie goes on. The Special Effects are good, but some dialogue and things that happen in the movie are so far fetched. I'd say if you're going to the theaters to watch this and you happen to see another movie you want to see too playing, go watch the other movie first.
