Anyone here play this absolutely fantastic game!?!? Its been round for hundreds of years, and seriously theres nothing more fun than getting a gang of your mates round and playing cards (perhaps an 8 player LAN party....) I used to play with my HS buddies and it was very fun. We'd usually play every week and we still tell stories about some of our games when we talk. We only played for like pennies, nickels, dimes, etc. Our favorite game was 7-card no peek. I love poker! And I only play for money. See, whenever I make a bet, and the people I'm playing with see my cards, they glean a little bit of information about how I play, and I don't want to give away that information for free. When playing for money, you take a risk by calling (or raising); you pay to see, and if everybody else folds, then nobody ever gets to find out what I really had in my hand when I placed my bet. If we're playing for toothpicks, on the other hand, there's no risk. It costs you nothing to call and find out what's in my hand, so you get a free look into JavaGuy's poker mind. Arguably the fact that we're not playing for money would change the way I play and thus make the information less valuable in a money game, but it's still more than I want to give away for free. Favorite games: Five-card draw. Seven-card stud. Nothing wild.
