Quote: I still have a NES too (and a Pentium 75)... but they're at home, not here at uni with me. That's why I find emulators useful. I hear ya! It's easier for me to double click an icon than to drag out all my old systems from the attic! _______________ Midbie Council Member #2 - Profile ID 2073 | Member of B@rtM@ulS@ar | Owner of Monty's 2000th comment & D@RtHM@UL's 8100th comment | Former Padawan of SilkMonkey & Arcuss JA Goaltender & NHL Fan | Fellow Rush fan to Axion|Plo Koon is my oldest JA friend Post your RL pics HERE! | Post you JK2/JK3 screenies HERE! |

Pfft, us 733+ people still own our NES and all those awesome games! As for all the really cool old computer games, I have an extra 486 if anyone is in the market ![]() _______________ Silent Bob (Kevin Smith): You know, there's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. There's a fantastic MS-DOS emulator out there called DOSBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/). It really works quite well. Should run any 386-era (or earlier) game perfectly. Recently they added support for protected mode DOS which all the later games (486, Pentium) used, although that's still a bit shaky. Games will run ok, but they might well be jerky (even on the fastest PCs around today). _______________ Q: What do you call a man with bread and butter pudding on his head? ZSNES, and MAME32. We should get MAME32K and play against each other some time. Oh, and I also got a handful of Sega Genesis emus, and all of the Sonic games. _______________ Stimpski (formerly known as DeathScythe many, many moons ago.) JA Forum ID - 3988 <insert generic &/OR witty tagline here> |
