Old DOS Games

If you are a little like me, you might have some old DOS games that you still like. I have some where the graphics work under XP, but the sound and joystick won't. An example of this is the Tie Fighter Collector CD-ROM for DOS. Everything works great, but the sound is horrible and it won't recognize any type of joystick.

So, I was surfing around and found this freeware driver called VDMSound. It fixed everything and Tie Fighter works under Win XP!

for some great resources check the home of the underdogs, an abandon site ;) its great.

That is an awesome site! If anyone goes there, make sure you have a pop-up blocker installed.

DOSBox is good for really old stuff that would have run on a slow 486 or less.
