I'me trying to learn how to map for JKII. To date, I've exausted all of the information available on RichDiesal's JKII site, and the Massassi temple. To date, these are the only two *working* pages that I have found with any relevant map editing information or tutorials. Where can I find more?

Telemachus, what do you mean by "inverse a bevel"? You can flip it on an axis and get it to curve another way... You can also invert the texture by pressing CTR + I.

Just out of curiosity, how well do you think "Also Sprach Zarathustra" would work in a map? Just wondering.

Glass is easy enough. All you really need is to set the brush to func_glass. Make sure that only the sides you will see are textured with glass; leave everything else as caulk. Note that blasters just bounce off it, so it is best to turn on cheats and test it with a grenade or rocket.

Water is easy if you follow the tutorials closley enough. However, some of his phrasing requires some more clarification. Just remember not to stack water on the 'Z' axis, make the whole brush out of 'caulk_nonsolid', and texture only the top and bottom with water. Note that, using 'caulk' where the water brushes meet on the 'X' and 'Y' axis is undesireable as they cast shadows; use 'nodraw' instead.

Curves really do require a sh*tload of experimentation to *perfect*, and if anyone knows how to manually make an inverse bevel *please* tell me.

abt the glass yea i think it enough but i dont remember for sure maybe u need to add something in the option.
Abt water u make a brush very thin and cover it with water shader than under it u make a brush with the full hight of the pool and cover it with nosolid caluk that u can find in texture/system

erm, btw could ya tell me how to do glass? setting "function_glass" is enough? and how to do water? and have i to do every single step or is there a plugin or something? and how to do curved surfaces? :D
