Well, this is rich

In my computer, an alarm sounds, it's been the third time in two days...
It's kind of like a fire-alarm, really weird, since I have never encountered any thing like this before.

Does this mean my system is overheated?
(any opinions?)

I couldnt possibly think of any other issue which might have set up the alarm clock...but im not sure heh =)

And btw...the very easiest thing is to install RAM

(dont make me look like a n00b -.-)

I do :)

Héhé

Now before I buy a cooler, this is the only thing that can be wrong when there is such an alarm right?
(I've checked my BIOS, it should notify me when my system reaches a degree of 70 °C)
Or are there other possibilities?
I just wanna make sure that my problems will be gone when I get back from the store

Replacing a cooling fan is actually about the easiest thing to do inside a computer. Especially if you still have the manual for your motherboard. You do, right? :)

Well no u dont need no other hardware to just install the cooler...
But if your CPU is really overheating and ur cooler is really malfunctioning (u should make yaself very sure of it) and u really wanna buy a new one...then im suggesting that ull buy the right one ^^
Oh and installing the cooler is pretty...tricky...well for someone who never ever installed something new into his PC...
Btw...u need some Thermal Cooling Paste too...or grease...dunno what it is called exactly

If ya wanna install this thing urself then just say word and ill give ya somekinda instructions ^^

Ok, now I've never bought a cooler before, so a quick question...

You can just buy the cooler in a PC-store right?

I don't need any other hardware, I hope?

It sounds like your system is getting too hot. You should check your system temp and CPU temp. I never let either of mine get over 40-50 degrees C, but usually the alarm is tripped when it starts getting to the 70-degree area (that's how mine is set at least). Check the system and alarm-trip temp in your BIOS menu (hit DEL while your computer is booting to see it).

Worst case scenario would be that your fan is malfunctioning and you'd need to buy a new one.
