Witness testimony is introduced as evidence in court all the time. I'm thinking they just felt sorry for someone that utterly clueless.  Plus, a consideration in charging someone with a crime is whether there's a reasonable chance of conviction, and I'm not sure a jury would convict this guy no matter what the law says._______________ My signature is only one line.
