The bush administration is moving quetly but agrgressively to roll back 30 years of enviromental progress. as a result,the white house is getting its way as it gives energy companies the right to "plunder great yellow stone" and other pristine wildlands..."gives polluters the right to dump more toxic chemicals in your air and water"...and gives timber companies the right to "cut down your last wild forests" the white house seems to believe that threats to national security and the war in iraq give it license to cancel your environmental rights. Fact: the Bush administration is rushing headlong to open up some ofour last wild places --"Great yellowston4e.Utah's Redrock canyons, and many others -- to devastating energy development. this is a dream come true for giant energy companies that can't wait to plunder irreplacable wildlands--bring with them a blight of pipelines,roads,and rigs. Fact: the bush administration gave the U.S.Navy approval to deploy dangerous new sonar system across 75% of the worl'ds oceans,blasting ocean habitat with noise to intense it can main,defan and "Even kill whales and dolphins". Fact: the bush administration wants the power to put every national forest on the chopping block for logging,mining and drilling without having to access the harm to wildlife. the timber industry cant wait to log our national forests.as you read this the administration is preparing to launch 49 huge timber sales in Alaska's Tongas -- the worlds largest remaining temperate rainforest. Fact: the bush administration wants to let mining companies Bulldoze 5,000 acres of the Florida Everglades and dynamite them inro open-pit rock mines. A priceless peice of americas greatest sub-tropical wilderness will be blasted to smithereens,then plundered for limestome rock that can be turned into roads and parking lots.Eventually,the rock mining will upen up a 30-square mile hole in the heart of our beloved Everglades. Fact: the whitehouse is intervening to block a key program that would stem the flow of "Raw sewage into america's oceans and waterways" this barely begins to convey the staggering scope of this Administration's anti environmental assault.over the past year alone,the NRDC has documented more than "150 attacks" on the essential safeguards that protect your family and your natural heritage. 75% (percent) of the worlds last and most endangered wildlife lives in only 11% (percent) of the world...can we be so greedy? he is also trying to open up an act to destroy our forests,including the Redwood Forest. not to mention the defeaning blow to millions of species of endangered animals and take them from the face of the earth. _______________ Free Tibet!
