Y'know, just wondering I read somewhere that average game-making crews are like twenty people or something So I was just wondering If this is true, then why not make our own game? Some projects aren't *that* hard. It depends on what you want. Do you want to create a topdown classic 2D Zeldaish Jedi Academy game? Easy, trust me. An evolved 3D world with real time particle effects? Go fish. |

Plenty of easy 2D gamemaking tools out there (RPG Makers, MMORPG makers) but the graphics are really low quality. If you want to make a good game, you need a 3D engine (custom made is an idea, but it's better to use Torque, customizable 3D engines suited for anything from action to RPG) and that costs you a wee bit 'o money, plus you're gonna need modellers, coders, scripters, designers, testers, graphic artists... |

Well, I currently have a 2D and 3D racing game (its 3D modelled, but from a 2D 'plan' view) on hold and probably not moving anywhere for a while. I was going to start a tennis sim as well, but that's on hold too due to lack of suitable help So, umm, yeah, I think we could do something. But IMHO, it'd have to be in C++ or nothing... _______________ Website |
