The third film, expect to see Anakin completely changing into Darth Vader, will, as Lucas says, be "a tragedy." Preparing early for fans' backlash, he says, "It's not a happy movie by any stretch of the imagination. It will probably be the least successful of all the Star Wars movies — but I know that." All those fans who loathe the previous films' cute creatures and silly slapstick moments will actually be relieved to have some heavy "Luke, I am your father"-style scenarios to savour. Lucas also promises job security for Frank Oz (the fellow who voices and operates the muppet Yoda), and for whoever carries the roles of Amidala, Obi-Wan, and Anakin. Says Lucas of the story arc, "it shaves down, as time goes on, things are eliminated. Ultimately the final story is between Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and the Queen. It's really their story. Those four characters." Early reports suggest that several old favourites from the first trilogy will return in Episode III and that Jar Jar Binks does NOT die in the third film as many enthusiasts had speculated. Freeserve reported that Lucas has ordered his cast to sport distinctly unfashionable '70s-style mullet haircuts so the film will lead seamlessly into the 1977 original. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen have no doubt been desperately dodging the paparazzi in the Outback while they look like extras from the set of Battlestar Galactica. Peter Mayhew will be dusting putting on his Wookiee suit to play Han Solo's sidekick Chewbacca. Star Wars fan site theforce.net suggests we will see Chewie fighting alongside other Wookiees against stormtroopers. All of them are killed bar him, which explains his motivation for joining the Rebellion. According to AintItCoolNews, this final film will be called Episode III: An Empire Divided. This has yet to be officially confirmed. Star Wars producer Rick McCallum has given away some key plot details in an online chat. The third film will feature an underwater duel between Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and some droids, and will include a new villain who fights with lightsabres in each hand. Mace Windu actor Samuel L Jackson wants his character to go out in a blaze of glory. Well basically the only way your going to save this movie is to bump it up to an "R" rating, give Natalie Portman another million dollars to her paycheck and have her stip down for some sweet love scenes....nudity is the only way to pull this triology "plot wise" in an upward direction _______________ Look unto me for I possess the blue flag!! yeah I'm really disappointed this movie is going to be darker. Especially since he had said from the beginning that this trilogy was going to be darker than the originals. I just hate it when I'm given what I've been promised and have always expecting.
