Jedi Academy CTF Map -Loaf - Mar 12 01:00am |

Jumpin Jedi has annouced that he is working on a Capture the Flag map for the academy, which is due out in the summer. Here is a list of the features:
¬ Two Enclosed Bases ¬ An Armoury ¬ Medical Centre ¬ Command Centre ¬ Pillboxes and Trenches ¬ The overall feel of the academy (bah, who needs that?  )

My beta-testers will be hand picked, and Loaf won't be one of them 
Anyway, about the medical center - There will be two of them, one in each base. The bases are going to be buildings, with underground access to some pillboxes. If anyone is decent with scripting and whatnot, they can help me in creating emplaced guns ! I'll start a forum thread later - I lost the original .map of JA-CTF, so I need to start over. The trenches are going to be between the bases, in a large stretch of grassland, but there'll be a few more surprises in there  Keep your ideas-a-comin' ! |

This sounds like a great idea, few points I should mention though
One, this'll be fun to play on and practice CTF skills in general but won't be much use for specific CTF training (if we ever thought about playing in leagues or anything like that which only use the defaults). The other thing is, a game of CTF is very fast paced, so most people won't be hanging about admiring the scenery. If this map doubled as an RPG style/FFA map as well though then that'd work. I noticed you mentioned medical bay ? Would this be on route to either of the bases or out of the way. If its en route, then flag cappers would be able to camp here and get health, which would make things very boring. If its out of the way then I can see people not even bothering to go there, and just to respawn instead.
