I've received word through Odan Wei that our student Vladarion's life was taken in an accident on Christmas last year. I've left details on his profile. My heart goes out to his family and friends at the Jedi Academy and elsewhere. Vladarion was a model student and the epitome of the kind of person that makes this community so great. Rest In Peace, sir. EDIT BY DOOBIE: I've gone ahead and made Vladarion our first student member of the Jedi Academy Hall of Fame. I know this doesn't mean much in the long run, but the Council, Trainers, and Knights have all feel that it's important to remember him, and we feel, in our small way, that this is a great way to do so. My heartfelt wishes go out to Kimberly and the entire Allen family. Kimberly, if you're reading this, the JA feels your loss and grieves alongside you. |

All I can say, is that he was one of the best people I have ever met. And was open to everyone, no matter who it was. Lets not focus on the negiative things, but lets focus on the good things about Vladarion, and the good times we had. I didn't know vald for very long, but the short time I did it seemed he new the perfect things to say whenever I was down or upset about things. When I was having a bad time of it, he helped me a lot, hehe, he even showed me how to make myself have black coloured cloths, he didn't even really know me and yet he was understanding and kind to me. I was reading some of the posts down below and Darth Mobolity's post caught my eye. He posted a quote from Vlad that was on the JASE forum. You know that phrase;- "When something looks too good to be true, it probably is". That phrase enveloped Vladarian, it was literal in his case, he was a beautiful guy, such a nice person that we all knew and got on really well with. He was too good to be true, and that has become apparant. What else can I say? Vladarion and myself were always really close. As I'm sure many of you were with him. How could you not be? He was a universally nice guy. We had some great times. But one thing is for sure, just because our dear friend Vladarion is out of sight, he will never be out of mind. He's still around, we just can't see him. We'll never forget this wonderfull man nor the sheer enjoyment we had in his company while he was with us. It just goes to show that these things happen. So I just want to say this; Look after eachother guys, there is no telling when or where this kind of thing this may happen, and who it might happen to. We have our petty problems with eachother, but in the end, they are all meaningless because we are all Human Beings and life is more important than petty squabbling. So, take good care of yourselvs. And to Vladarion: You were an inspiration to me brother. Thank you, for everything. For the good times we had together, for making me laugh, for supporting me through my Knight Trials and just for being there. You were, and always will be awsome. I havn't lost a good friend Vlad, you'll always be that. What I have lost most of all, is good company. I'll see you again sometime, I promise. But in the meantime; Rest in Peace Dennis. i don't think i can put it any better than Kenyon did. words are always a difficult substitute for emotions in a time like this. as all who knew him well will miss him greatly and even those who barely knew him will feel the loss too, because he was the kind of person that made an impression, even if you only met him once. i hope it is a beautiful place, wherever you may be now. may your presence in this world continue to inspire the good in everyone. _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |

rest in peace, vlad...even though I never really got to know you, you were just like everyone one of us, being part of the same Academy. If I had taken this lightly, I would say something like, he has gone on and become one with the Force. And even though that may sound a little childish, I guess you can say that's true from an adult point of view. Even though you're gone, I know you're in a better place than here, and you continue to watch over everyone that has made an impact in your life...your wife, friends, and even us at the Academy. And who knows...you may even be laughing now, wherever you are, finding out finally who were the people behind the many players you met here at the JA. My heart goes out to your family and your wife, and I'm proud to be part of the same Academy as you, part of the same aspect of your life that brought you a measure of joy and happiness. It is times like these that the true spirit of the Academy really shows, and to see so many people reacting to this as I have is good, seeing as how cruel this world can get. I lost my older brother 3 or 4 when he drowned at the college my dad works at nearby- he was practicing holding his breath underwater for some kind of scuba class and the life guards werent watching him-he was under the water for 10 minutes i very much understand how vladarions family feels-it hurts so bad that it wont go away,i always miss him-i wish i could say i love him one more time,i wish he could see how video games are(he was a huge fan of the sega and sonic) i remember once he said.. "one day im gonna buy one of those awesome N64's" back then it was top gaming.. i also wish he could hear me play the guitar,see our dog jack and so much more. just to vladarions family-i understand i understand very much-he will be with you always his name was James and ill never forget him. my last words before the left the door to go to the pool was "bye i love you!" i wish so bad that if i had a time machine i could tell him not to go swimming ever! but i cannot. ill never forget my brother james. _______________ Free Tibet! This is a great lose that has befallen both our society and our academy. It has been my greatest of privileges to know Vlad during the time I have been with the academy. He has always been a friend to me. He was one of those people that you just like to be around. His actions were that of a man with a kind heart and a considerate soul. In times like these I pull from my faith to help me, you may not share my beliefs but I feel that there is a heaven and Vlad is surely there now. He has touched all of our lives and he will be forever remembered. I show no anger to the man who killed him; I will not disgrace his memory that way. That man has his own peace to make. You were a player I always looked forward to bumping into, my heart is saddened by our loose and I hope that we shall once again be able to cross sabers again some day. I know you will be watching over us from wherever you are. I now beseech to my fellow members of the academy to keep Vlad in their memory, for if we do that he will always be with us. I now rip from the tip of my grandfather’s black belt a strip to tie around my arm, for that is the way of our family, to morn the loose of my friend and pay my respects to him. this dude was quite impressive. he was so polite and so friendly all the time. i didnt really knew him all that well, only from servers and stuff, but he made quite an impact in i guess most of us just by being himself. a great loss indeed. this world needs more people like this fellow, happy, helpful, respectful and honorable.
