This WAS going to go into the article section but I didn't figure enough of you would notice due to the lack of attention to the article.  I have been following a game in development called Guild Wars. It is being headed by the same guy who created Battle.NET (Warcraft, StarCraft, etc.). The engine is very powerful, the gameplay is supposed to be fantastic, and from May 12 through May 14, you can play it on thier E3 servers. If this two-day trial isn't enough for you to consider playing this game, take into account that there are no monthly charges. If THAT doesn't do something to convince you to play then I don't know what will. You can download the client and start playing here! |

i missed the 1st day, but it was great game/demo whatever, too bad its over now... warrior/monk was fun...i got to coop mission 4... btw, i think it's kind of a demo of the alpha version, and i NEVER expected anything this good! game's gonna be GOOD when it comes out, and theres a chance i'll buy it, but i heard theres going to be lots of expansion packs to pay for (not needed to play, but still...), so mabye i'll get world of warcraft... |

Mmm good pointer... tis quite a cool game. Ok it has many downsides still but duh, it's not even the beta version. And THE good idea behind this game is no monthly costs  .If you're bored anyway I'd say try it out... quite cool to fight in parties with nice spells n stuff  _______________ ~~ Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none! ~~ |

Another game to lose my soul to... sigh. My problems with it so far: Can't adjust the camera nearly easily enough. Not enough spells to tryout. Those who like it, love it. Those who don't, hate it. If you did like Diablo II, chances are you'll like Guild Wars aswell. Keep in mind; this isn't your ordinary Joe MMORPG (Massive(ly) Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), in fact, ArenaNet themselves rather want to call it a CORPG (Competitive Online Role-Playing Game). It differs in many ways. Maybe not all to the better, but I sure like what I've seen so far. Fast paced action, no grinding (or less atleast). You may also engage in team or solo PvP battles in the Arena. They will also, if not already, implement a zone for free PvP'ing. Guilds(/Clans) will also be able to enter a war with other guilds, and fight if the other part accepts. Do what Sared said, try it out (before it's too late, oh noes!)! Beta will prolly be around in a couple o' months or less. _______________ Well huzzah, huzzah. I'll just throw back my legs and pollute my britches with delight. |

lol Are all MMORPG's like this? If so, I'm glad I managed to not get into SWG, FFXI and CoH. It's interesting, sure, but it's not so much better than my current games... Anyone have a comparison they would like to make? How does this rate in terms of MMORPG's? (NOT considering the fact that it's free.) |
