THREE WHOLE YEARS! -doobie - May 22 06:03am |

what with all the excitement over Episode III (which, in my honest opinion, ranks a close third behind Empire Strike Back and A New Hope), we forgot to mention that we turned THREE WHOLE YEARS OLD! A lot has happened since mid-May of 2002. I've graduated college, moved out to Los Angeles, and am working in the tv/film industry. DJ is getting married this weekend (BALL AND CHAIN!). Orion works for Raven Software based on the work he did for OUR mod. We've gotten great new council members. We've reorganized 3 or 4 times, each time improving the Academy and creating a new spark. We've made new friends, those friends have made new people (yes, Geeks can have wives and husbands and even make babies), and we've lost some good friends as well. Heck, we opened right when Episode 2 did, and now the Star Wars saga is complete, or so George Lucas says. I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I love this place, I consider all of you my friend, and I know we'll continue to improve as we move to this time next year (when I promise we'll remember our anniversary). VIVA LA ACADEMIA!!! |

wow, i've been visiting this website almost daily for almost three years (joined in mid june of the first year). I don't remember how I found this site, but I do know that there is no other place like this, and no other place as good as this online anywhere. My god...Three years amongst you guys have been totally awesome, I don't think theres any real expression or any words that can discribe what most of you have done for echother. and to think i found this place while looking for new skins to play on the pubs...hmm...pondering this is weird but hell who cares ive had my fun, make and made new friends, and even though ive stepped back I cant nor wont leave my friends. everyone who joins the ja knows in their heart from the first time they interact with the others here if they have what it takes to be apart of this community. some choose not to stay because they cant or wont, which is fine, but for those of you who stay and become a part of the ja family i applaud you and i say welcome to an experience you shall never forget. ive realized that in life there is pain, loss, and personal heartship, hell ive been through a whole hell of alot myself and one of the things that has kept me going and staying on the right path is every single one of the people here. i know that if im ever feeling down, seriously depressed, or well lets just say have bad thoughts, that i can rely on my friends here. This place sure does love to affect people lives. It may be just a website or just a game but there certainly must be more to it. We are a living breathing community.
