Many thanks to Shadow Walkers Hosting for providing us with this server! SWK is former clan that decided to get back together and into the business of hosting HL servers, selling game servers, and providing custom server configurations. These guys are new on the hosting field, and right now do not have a website, and accept all their payment through Paypal.
If you'd like to rent a server please contact Charon or SWK's founder Raven at swkraven@speakeasy.net. Along with the above they also provide 24/7 support for their services. Here's a rundown of their monthly prices: They only rent 18man up to 32man servers at $1.40 per person. Add on's: Admin is $5.00 HLGuard is $5.00 Statsme is $5.00 Added plugin's to admin are $2.00 per plugin one time fee. Fee's for setting up a server is a one time fee of $24.50 Again thank you for the server donation! Okay, I'm getting alot of this lately... I'm going to let everyone know immediately, yes, I do control this server, being the only one of us with SWK that knows JK2 well enough; Yes, there is an Rconpassword set and (to the best of my knowledge) the JAT's have it; Yes, I do want to make this a fun place to just let loose with some firepower once in a while, or get some FF duel action going; But no, I can not, and will not try to, accept every request for a map/skin to be put on the server. I'm sorry, but I'm still learning how some of it works; and adding anything to the mapcycle is a royal pain so far as I know how to do it. I do not watch the server console all day, either, it's on another machine in a different part of the building, so randomly asking the server if something can be changed isn't likely to reach my ears within an appriciable number of hours.
I'm not trying to come down on everyone, or be a jerk because it's my stuff. It isn't, it's Ravens hardware and line anyway, I just type for the thing... Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is; We're new at this, and getting a feel for alot of stuff, so please, give us some time; and, on the topic of time, I don't have a lot spare, lately. If I say something will get done, or at least that I'll see if I can figure it out: I will, when time allows.
