A lot of folks either seemed to only come for one class story (typically the Jedi), didn't want to experience the other faction, and/or just got bored with those bits of the game you do end up repeating on re-runs (side quests, pvp etc.)
Personally I still find it horribly addictive, and that's after 4 level 50s although I have enjoyed taking a short breather from playing every day lately. That's awesome! Glad you found a cool group of people, was the same for me really, just sad that so many have moved on. 
And yeah that is -exactly- the same as me, except the brother and sister are reversed. I lost my level 50 main (the brother) but still have the level 25 sister. As you say it's really hard to get back that interest in the character, I had developed backstories for all 8 of mine but those two in particular were key. Not so good to tell the truth, man. The guild is very quiet and needs some real work which I don't really have time to put into it just now. But worse than that, in the recent server merges I lost my main character's name! As well as two other toons I had been levelling.
Basically some other guy happened to have /played his character more than me, which would be fair enough but there is a good chance that's only because I took the time to level 4 level 50s. :p Ah well, I actually spoke to the fellow and he's a nice guy so whatever. But it really dented my desire to play for the moment. It's not Jaina, Jaiko or Dark. Must be Mirael or Eclipse I would guess.
I haven't heard that, but I suppose it makes sense. Only makes me question further why they have taken such a roundabout way to do it though. I did hear about how the March patch will allow you to play as races previously restricted by class or faction (I'm guessing Mirialan Sith is one example). I did hope that they would be introducing Cathar, Rodians, Togruta and Nautolans but I guess not. There seem to be a lot of good cc abilities in the game, but yeah I know what you mean. Glad your enjoying it! Are you healer spec or DPS?

Understandable if you are helping run your own guild, that's awesome. If you ever want to try rolling a toon on our EU server let me know, but I imagine that'll be a way off yet hehe.
Glad the Mintaka name is living on in TOR.  Such a shame that the way they have implemented the surnames means we can't adopt anyone really. How have you found your classes? Sage is fun I hear?
I have several toons so far: Emrys: level 50 Scoundrel, Kerra: Level 20 Jedi Guardian, Phaedra: Level 18 Sorcerer, Myri: Level 11 Merc. Also have plans to play the other four, but waiting for the March patch to see what kind of character creation options the Legacy update adds. That kind of sucks. I own windows 7, and when I tried to install it on my one laptops, it didn't want to register. About 2 weeks later, the registration was able to go through. I hope you are in the same situation. I hope to see you in game! |

Okay so I thought I had the latest build, but I've been away for a few days and it's updating so looks like I was wrong.
It's very unlikely I'll be able to get it downloaded in time now, my connection is currently downloading it at a mighty 25 KB/s. :| Sorry, I/my net sucks! It can be fiddly, requiring both players to be online etc. It also seems to just use the name of the character in game. I'm on my way home now so should be set fairly soon. I've already got an Imperial Agent Operative that I love, it's one of my favourite classes. I know my way around Hutta pretty well by now as well. :p
That said I don't really mind. I always enjoy playing as an IA but the BH would be something new. I'll go with BH I suppose, but it should be your decision as I've had a lot more opportunities to test the classes upto this point.
