To be honest, I'm a beginner at maping myself. I'm afraid I can't help you with mixing textures and converting BSP files into MAP files is something I'm wondering about as well.
So yeah, feel free to show me your first map ever; I'm sure it'll be a good map. As for my 3000th comment.. I don't have a clue, lol. I just posted around paying no mind to my amount of comments. I can try to find out, but it's bound to be a post somewhere in the Crazy Forums or something, hehe. EDIT: I'll try to find that shader tool, thanks for the mention. Is it illegal to copy-paste an existing shader straight from JK3 assets? I mean, it comes with the game and all.. If so, I'll take a closer look at scripting for textures so I can fully create my own shaders. Most of it is explained in some shaderfile anyway. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. Hey Buster Sorry for not replying to the PMing on IRC.. it's because I was being trained by Virtue. (I didn't notice anything happening on IRC.)
So yeah, I did manage to figure out how to create textures and shaders, not on my own but with help from Sete, Pink and Tarpman. I managed to create custom textures, skies, water and lava. But still, I don't know it 'all' ofcourse, so if you don't mind helping me with anything, that'd be awesome! (After all, I just copy-pasted existing shader scripts from the game, then referred to my own textures, lol.) _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |
