I just watched it as well. Such a classic. I loved it when Kirk was on that destroyed outpost and running to that grenade launcher while getting bombarded. Or when he talked to Spock, claiming the Gorn had lured the Enterprise into a trap so they could invade. I like how he was so sure of himself, lol. Kirk was tough, gutsy and smart.
I also liked the blue phaser blasts. This episode is from the remastered / special edition version where they replaced all the exterior scenes. And although I love to stick with the original material, I think the new exterior scenes look pretty good. Finally, there's the conclusion that I liked where Kirk decided not to kill the Gorn. He had learned that maybe they could talk and find a diplomatic solution to their conflict. Oh yes, I also saw Deanna the other day!  I watched Star Trek Insurrection, you see, a movie I had never seen before. I rather enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to watching the final Star Trek movie featuring Captain Picard and the NG crew. _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |
