Hey sirBiz, sorry I didn't respond until now.
Yes Wind Waker is good. Even if you don't like cartoons or Japanese animation I think you could still enjoy it. That is, if you like great character development, innovative puzzles and a healthy dose of sword fighting and arrow shooting. It is very fantastical with some good humor (clever stuff that kids might not get.) My opinion may be a little biased though since I think Wind Waker is the best game EVER MADE!!! you said your really into the Legends of king Arther and such, so i highly suggest that you check out the following books:
