Well, the sudden change was due to a totally different perspective to life and studying. At first I studied teaching so that I could get a good job for myself (and a sure job too, male teachers are a constant item of want in Finland), but then I realised why study only for the money. I'm so hungry for knowledge I could study just about anything and still be happy though I don't have a career ahead of me. Maybe it's some sort of 20+ year crisis, I just want to enjoy life study-wise and life-wise. Good luck with your job, just remember to keep on top of things so that work doesn't grab you in a headlock and never let go (been there done that).
