nooooooooo I'm talking about Runtime okay, errm, fire up your Datapad go to the Answering Machine, and then close it using the red button at the upper right. This will close the entire application but that's not the case here, since my Main Form is hidden, so it won't be closed... I'm looking for a way that if you use your red X at the right, it'll automaticcally close the entire application... so any way, any way to specify this? _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website! tee-hee, got that to work too Is there a way to check if the Red cross at the above-right is used to close? I want to make it so that if the little cross is used, the Main Form is automatically closed so the Main Form doesn't stay in memory either. Edit: And here I am again lol anyway, it's about opening a file I googled and it told me to do it like this: AssignFile(SomeTextFile; Path) SomeTextFile = a variable of the Type TextFile Path = a string variable that holds the correct path to the file but I get the error: 'Not enough actual parameters' I also tried inputting the complete path in stead of the variable Path, but the same error I'm kinda stumped at this one _______________ Visit the Belouve Family Website! great thanks! Oh, how does the AddItem property work? I've got a combobox and I want it to add some stuff when loading up so I use combobox.AddItem('What he has to add'; ...: ...) Hey Cmad, quick question about Delphi! The guide says: For a line of text, or a number, use a TEdit. For a File of text, use a TMemo. I'm just wondering, does that mean that if I want to input all contents from a file to a program, I have to use a TMemo? Edit: Is there a way to make sure that if you close the first file of the project that everthing else doesn't close as well? I've got one form, that's the Main form, you know, the one I started with.
