uh... first things, first, i'm gmt-8. NEVER FORGET THAT!!! lol, j/k :P

plz note: i'm really not familiar with linux, as in all i know about it is that there's a build known as RedHat, and even that's probably wrong. i had no idea at all that it could emulate windows programs, particularly complicated ones like games. and i take it chosen-one hasn't replied yet?

i agree that we could start by making the mod as just a "mini-mod" that replaces only content and not the code, but that doesn't help when bows start coming up. the logical solution there is, of course, to make that in MP and transpose it to SP later.

and i don't know what you mean by "make it entirely MP"; you can't really have SP-camapaign-style maps in MP...

What OS are you using? I've set static font size. You should be able to reset them in Mozilla.

Do you need some sort of program to be able to code C++ ?

if not I wouldn't mind taking my bros place and having a few lessons please,

That is if you got the time and all,

I'm doing computing at collage that teaches a bit of programming, we are only doing visual basic so I expect alot of differences but I should know some of the basics right ???

Thanks in advance - Squibit

Heyhey!:)

About the C++ thing, I was going to answer, don't worry...:)
well, anyway, I don't really need to learn it anymore, since I kind of lost all interest in programming :P
(lol;))

But it was very nice of you to ask!
Thanks;)

Oh yeah, PS: Don't take it personal or anything like that, cuz it has nothing to do with you:)

btw, i'm assuming since you want to code for linux, you're running the game on it too.

if you feel like it, check your gamedata and base directories for files called cgame, game, ui, cgamex86, jampgamex86, and uix86. it would be really helpful to know the extensions on these.

uh... not sure what GMT you are, so I'll let you convert this on your own:

I'm usually on between 6 and 10 PM PST, which is GMT-8 to the best of my knowledge. Same goes for IRC, servers, etc. Weekends I'm usually signed in to MSN (even if i'm afk) most of the day.

An eggdrop works fine, and can be almost endlessly customized.

If you decide to code your own bot in C++, you might be able to customize it more, although it'd be pretty hard.

I wouldn't suggest it, but if you want to go for it, go ahead :)

I dont know that much about C++ though, so my support will end there :)

p.s Eggdrop is coded in C too. The scripts are just TCL.
