I don't believe that the Russians were worse than the Amis or Brits. If we were such animals as u say, why did the prisoners return to Germany? Why did the Germans welcome us as liberators? And look. If you say that we were THAT bad you must remember one thing. Germans did the same to us. We lost 22 000 000 during the Great Patriotic War. Can u imagine that? So. You don't listen to propaganda, very good! But you were brought up in that way. There's no propaganda against Soviet Union anymore. But still the memory remains. Ask just anyone about their oppinion towards the SU. The propaganda machine worked very hard during the WW 2 and after that. The Soviets were brought up that the Amis are the evil ones. It's politics and we- ordinary peeps- shouldn't give a damn about it. Sure we were on the same side. But listen, i'm quite sure the allied soldiers did the same- maraudering, killing etc. And I don't think the Soviets were that bad as you say. It's just western propaganda for the Soviet Union has always been "the Empire of Evil" with it's "imperialistic aims".. And we prisoned very many German soldiers and officiers, even generals. Most of them returned back home. Almost none of our militairs captured by Nazis ware that lucky. The easter front was mainly led by Soviet troops.
