Its just a different compiler besides GCC.. its the Intel C++ Compiler you can get it for free. Yep, I followed the handbook and installed a Stage 3. Now I'm trying to get the X server to work. It seems to run fine, but then nothing happens. Black screen with a mouse cursor and that's it. I haven't had time to try to figure it out yet, I think I know what the problem is though. Even though the system is not 100% ready yet, I like it already. The documentation owns and I've learned a lot already, so I'm happy. Although sometimes two different info pages say two completely different things about the same topic. But hey, I managed to compile my own kernel with no problems!!  _______________ make install -not war |
