just read Virtue's comment about fan film making. A few mates and myself made a quick duel once, for a laugh, it actually turned out quite well, with choreography and everything  Its too large to upload as I can't figure out how to shrink it, but I used a program called alamdv, which is specifically made for fan film makers, and even has a laser sword tool which means it is meant for star wars fan films. Virtue - Jedi Council

The concept of rotoscoping can be accomplished depending on the length of your video, one of the shortest films I made was approximatly 3 - 4 minutes long, and with breaks, it took me about two or three days to achieve the Lightsaber effect including all sound effects. The programs I used were Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop. You still need to replace every frame with a Lightsaber, but with the use of Adobe Premiere, the process is much faster, and alot more efficient. You can use other programs that enable keyframing and anchors, which will complete your film in a matter of hours, but unfortunatly, take alot of knowledge and persistance in order to learn how to use them and effectively get them to work. Rotoscoping using Photoshop and Premiere is widely preferred in Star Wars Fan Film making, they are easy enough to use and don't consume too much of your time. And no matter what your skills with Graphical Design are, you'll always impress yourself with the finished product. We'll have a chat on MSN soon and I can walk you through the process. hihi soviel geld hab ich nu auch nid :p die 1G platte - lol - die werkelt in meinem 486er den ich extra für alte-spiele sessions am leben erhalte ne ich hab ne 20G platte - mit der komm ich prima aus - daneben noch ne 10G platte für Linux und ne 2G für meines Linux User Daten.... ich hab zuhause noch nen 350er oder so mit ner stinke-IDE platte rumlabern - naja - wie s halt is. gah geh mir weg mit toms hardware - die seite war nie gut und lügt wo es geht.... die einzig verlässliche zeitschrift is c't ! naja, so oder so sobald ich genug kohle hab werd ich mit nen mac kaufen - und mit etwas glück krieg ich ne Ultrasparc5 _______________ One of the Belouve boys, founder of the mighty FiZZsters Midbie council #20 - Fizz - #1933 - Jan '03 - Aug '04 "Renfield, you idiot!" |

hehe neh - ich hab die dämmmaten von nem kumpel um 10€ oder so abgekauft.... muss mal testen ob die was bringen. SCSI ? muaha - erstens weil ich seit meinem ersten PC immer SCSI hatte - und weil die platten nicht hin werden - meine 12 jahr alte 1GB seagate werkelt immer noch - und ausserdem bin ich nicht der typ der sich tausende filme auf der platte lässt - die werden sauber runtergebrannt - und ausserdem schiebt meine eine platte locker mehr als dein RAID array aber egal - ich führe keine diskussionen IDE vs SCSI oder was auch immer mehr - wenn SCSI für server gut genug is - isses für mein system auch gut genug ausserdem - hey - ich hab das geld _______________ One of the Belouve boys, founder of the mighty FiZZsters Midbie council #20 - Fizz - #1933 - Jan '03 - Aug '04 "Renfield, you idiot!" |
