The Lightsaber effect in film is done via "Rotoscoping" usin two programs. Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere. I'll tell you step-by-step how to do it when we have our chat. Thank you for responding to my Post. I do hope I'll see you on one of the Servers one day though. It is apparent to me that you are a very skilled and honourable player. As for the pics, the First one I hand drew with a pencil and paper, then scanned it into my comp and coloured it using Photoshop. The one I have now is of a recent skin I made of my in-game character "Virtue". Again, textured in Photoshop. I added in the Lightsaber and the Glow on his Face, as the Screenshot was taken in ModView and therefore, I was unable to put the Lightsaber in his hand. So I took a close up screen and added in the Lightsaber myself. There is really not much to texturing/character art in Photoshop, all you really need to know is where to put the Highlights and Shadows. If you are interested in trying it for yourself, I'll be happy to chat to you at some point and tell you my approach to the whole thing.
